Conclusion
Although they are two very different pieces, Macbeth and "The Lion King" both encompass the light vs. darkness, super-natural intervention, and battle between good and evil archetypes similarity. The Scottish play is very dark with a sad finale, while the Lion King is a children's story filled with laughter and an ending where good triumphs over bad. Archetypes are a very important literary device that everyone will be required to either study, or utilize them at some point in their education; these three archetypes are just a few of many. Will and Walt have incorporated these themes with an extreme level of accuracy, and everyone should learn from these two displays and keep them in mind when trying to improve their own creative writing.
