Supernatural Intervention in The Lion King
The supernatural intervention experienced in the Disney film "The Lion King" was just a little different to the one experienced in Macbeth. It occurred while Simba was busy moping over his fight with Nala about him refusing to be king, and Rafiki, the crazy baboon-magician, came along to brighten his mood. The monkey lead him within the forest and to a body of water where he looked upon his reflection, which after Rafiki touched, turned into his father staring back at him. He then saw a figure of Mufasa appear within clouds of mist, which spoke to him these words of encouragement and advice: "remember who you are, you are my son, the one true king" (Allers and Minkoff). This supernatural experience and meeting with his father from beyond the grave gave Simba enough renewed strength and courage to return to the Pride lands and face his evil uncle Scar.
